Greetings:
I have a lovely single-bedroom apartment located in Colonia Roma for rent
during Spring 2010. The apartment has a living/dining room, spacious
bedroom, walk-in closet, shower/bath, and kitchen. It is furnished with a
bed, table/chairs, futon, washer, office space, line for clothes-drying,
iron/ironing board, silverwear/dishes, cookware, small oven/stove,
refrigerator, microwave, and plants. There are windows to the northwest and
south east, with partial views of the city and plenty of ventilation; it is
a very sunny apartment located on the 5th floor.

The price is 7000 pesos a month, which includes the building maintenance, a
parking space, water, and the elevator; this is about 450-530 dollars a
month, depending on the exchange rate.

Electric bills are around 6 dollars every 2 months, with gas at about 18-20
dollars monthly and internet/tv about 40 dollars.

The apartment is conveniently located 3 blocks from Insurgentes Metro
station and 1 block from the Durango metrobus station; average travel times
to popular archives are around 30 minutes to the AGN, 20 minutes to the
historic center and all of its archives, 40-1 hour for UNAM, the Biblioteca
Nacional, the Hemeroteca Nacional, and COLMEX, 50 minutes to Ibero; the
airport is about 45 minutes by metro (less by cab); and you can reach all
the major bus stations within and hour. The Zona Rosa is next door, as is
Condesa and the nightlife of Roma.

I'm leaving for some work in the states from January to May; I am happy to
negotiate a 4 or 5 month contract, as I intend to return in June for further
research. You would be renting directly from the landlord, Se�ora Nelly.

I prefer people who are tidy, and there is no smoking or pets allowed in the
building.

Gas & wireless Internet are NOT included in the rent, but these will set you up around 40usd.

The neighborhood is very walkable -- within 2 blocks there are maybe a dozen eateries (vegetarian, local fondas, an Argentinian restaurant on the corner and several excellent bakeries and cafes. It will be hard to leave!) There is a convenience store just around the corner and there are THREE larger supermarkets nearby, a market if you wanna buy fresh fruit and vegetables, caf�s, main avenues (Insurgentes, Divisi�n del Norte, Gabriel Mancera, Amores, Av. Coyoac�n, Eje 4 sur), dry cleaner's & laundry and several grocery and convenience stores. It is extremely close to Roma & Condesa (5-7 minutes) & Coyoac�n (10-15 minutes).

You are certain to enjoy your stay here if you are a clean, quiet & non-smoker person.

Amazing Location, many people prefer La Condesa because is full of bars and restaurants, that is true, but is also a fact that there is traffic and noise, not to mention security.
Where we are located you can walk to Condesa is only 4 blocks away but without all the downfalls.
San Miguel Chapultepec is an historic neigborhood, two blocks away from the bigest park in Mexico City, Chapultepec. Is also a residential top area of the city. Super Central and well comunicated.
